This year, like last year
- I will keep on working on improving my health. By walking more, by eating less and by eating better.
- I will keep on trying to be a better companion to my spouse, by making myself more available and more attentive.
- I will keep on using the simplest tools I can, to get the job done. Analog tools, if at all possible.
- I will keep on reading printed books every single day, at least a few pages or a few lines, no matter what.
- I will keep on trying to waste less time, online as well as offline.
- I will keep on trying to buy less crap. By delaying any impulse buy, by crafting/DIYing as much as I can, by fixing broken stuff, and by reusing, or borrowing what I can. And each time I will really need to buy something, I will do my best to buy it used instead of new.
Certainly nothing revolutionary but still, provided our leaders don’t decide it’s time to end our lives (our lives not theirs, obviously) in a nuclear firework, I would be happy to say I was able to finish 2026 on that path. I have one year, hopefully, to make that list an actual fact.
No matter what happens, a Happy New Year to you.
