Hi, I am Libb, a 50-something dude that tries to rethink his life around simpler and more sustainable values. I’m French and wish to write a lot more in English. Hopefully, this blog will reflect that.
On this blog,
- You will never see any ads. Ads are everywhere, ruining the entire Web. I do my humble part in order to preserve an idea of what the Web could have been had it not chosen to sell its body and soul to advertising and marketing money.
- There is no tracking and no telemetry: I don’t try to protect my privacy online to then try to spy on you. Who you are, where you are, what you read and even how many of you do visit my blog is none of my business — unless, that is, you wish to tell me. If that is the case, please check the ‘Contact’ section below.
- I have nothing to sell and I am not sponsored by anyone, which means that if I speak about a product it is because I think it is worth sharing with you and not because I am getting paid to do so. Which also means I support all publishing and hosting costs myself.
On this blog, I don’t guarantee regular updates. In fact, they should be quite irregular, as I am often offline:
- It is not that I live somewhere remote with poor Internet access — with my spouse, for the last 25 years or so we’ve been living in Paris, France. It is just that one of the things I wanted to change in my life was the amount of time I spend online.
- To help me achieve that goal, I write my posts using… pen and paper.
Yep, all posts are first drafted by hand and I only type them on the computer when I feel like it.
Not a very professional way to handle a business we will all agree on that but, hopefully, we can also all agree that this blog is not a business. So, don’t be surprised if you see multiple new posts appearing at the same time, dated from a few days or more back, as I can be real slow. - To be informed of updates, you can use the RSS feed.
